What to expect from a mobile IV appointment at home
20 May 2026 · 5 min read
One of the best things about mobile IV therapy is that there is no clinic to drive to and no waiting room to sit in. Your paramedic comes to you. Here is how a typical appointment unfolds.
Before the day
It starts with your online booking and health screening, which a clinician reviews. Once your booking is confirmed, all you need is a comfortable spot to sit or recline — a couch or an armchair is perfect.
On the day
We book each appointment as a 90-minute window, which covers everything without rushing. Your paramedic arrives with all the hospital-grade equipment needed, explains the process, and answers your questions before anything begins.
- A quick check-in and consent conversation
- Setting up the drip into a vein in your arm
- The infusion itself, usually 30 to 60 minutes
- A short period of monitoring before they pack up
Afterwards
Most people simply carry on with their day. Your paramedic will not leave until you are comfortable and cleared. If anything came up during screening that needed your GP, we would have talked it through with you well before this point.
Where we come
We serve homes, hotels and workplaces across the Waikato — including Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Awamutu, Morrinsville and Raglan. Just tell us the location when you book and we will confirm.
